Cannabis can have detrimental effects on one's mental health. Just like how tobacco use can lead to cancers, and alcohol abuse can lead to impulsiveness or agitations, cannabis use does not come without side effects.


It's not uncommon for mental health clinicians see patients mental health symptoms worsen from cannabis use. It can worsen paranoia, exacerbate hallucinations, and the withdrawal effects can lead to irritability and anxiety.


Having anxiety or panic attacks? The best approach for cannabis users is to cut down on their drug use. Mental health issues can be a fragile time in one's life, and it's just not worth the risk to smoke during that time
